My fellow Canines,
It is with great honor that I, Dooley, officially announce my candidacy for President of Rescue Dogs!
I believe my history for being a fantastic rescue qualifies me for this high office. I am crate trained, like kids, and adore other dogs. I also consider myself an incredible power chewer who has conquered many foes including antlers, frozen Kongs, Nylabones and rope toys (but I’m smart and don’t chew things that are off limits). I’m also a keen guard dog who has saved my foster family from daunting threats such as the vacuum cleaner, weed wacker, lawnmower, and leaf blower.
As President my first order of business would be to secure fabulous forever homes for every dog in America (myself included). Personally, I believe a “fabulous” forever home would have a fenced yard where I could run and wrestle with my canine siblings. Oh, that reminds me, having a canine sibling is a must! That way I don’t get lonely or scared when my humans leave. I’m not sure a fabulous forever home has cats, so we are gonna leave those fluff balls off the list for now. I’m also a big fan of camping and meeting my fellow campers, so you can label me as ‘the outdoorsy type”.
