Gateway Pet Guardians Community Programs
Helping East St. Louis Residents & Their Pets
Gateway Pet Guardians Community Animal Resources, Education and Social Services:
The community outreach team at Gateway Pet Guardians works to provide resources to pet owners in the community.
Ensure that pet owners have the resources they need to provide their pet(s) with a long, happy and healthy life. Empower pet owners to keep pets in their homes and out of area shelters.
A community where all pet owners can rest comfortably knowing they have access to the resources they need to keep their pets for a long, happy and healthy life.
The Gateway Pet Guardians Community Outreach Program began in January 2013 as a response to bitter cold temperatures and dogs left outside in the elements. Since its inception, it has grown into a program with dozens of volunteers that spend their weekends in the community, helping residents improve the lives of their family pets. By arming community members with doghouses, tie-outs, bowls, leashes, collars, and other supplies, they make it easier for community members to care for their animals. Check out some of the statistics the Community Outreach Program has accomplished since its inception.
