Foster Spotlight: It’s Your Time to Shine, Angela Bright!

This week we are shining the spotlight on Angela Bright! When Angela’s family had to put down their eighteen-year-old mixed breed pound pup in November, they knew they wanted another dog. They began looking and soon decided to give fostering and fostering-to-adopt a try. In less than a year, they have fostered a total of four dogs. So far they have only fostered puppies. She felt that puppies would be the best option being that they have active young kids in the house and around the neighborhood. They would surely wear each other out from all the play. Plus, the kids love all the puppy kisses and extra fun playtime!

Angela doesn’t have a specific memorable moment in mind when it comes to fostering. She just loves to hear about all the great rescue stories. Knowing that all these dogs are off the streets and are getting a new chance at a happy life is amazing to her. When giving advice to new foster parents, the best advice she can give is to foster two puppies at the same time. This may sound a little overwhelming but they can actually help keep each other occupied and be each other’s playmate.

Angela has a lot going on with a sixteen-year-old and a six-year-old at home. They also foster failed with Eureka (Chewbacca), who is now around five months old. When it’s time to pay the bills, Angela is an Ultrasound and Vascular Sonographer at St. Clare Health Center in Fenton, MO. In her spare time Angela enjoys the high life hanging out with friends and neighbors and the occasional glass of wine. Thank you Angela for all that you do and we’re glad you are a part of changing the lives of these dogs forever!
