Friday’s Foster Dog: Meet Tiny, an adoptable dog in St. Louis! Great with kids and a real family-oriented guy, Tiny, a young Shepherd mix, is one of Gateway Pet Guardian’s diamonds in the rough. Good-natured, he is the perfect addition to any family. Mature and responsible, he is best buddies to the 2 year old boy he lives with in his foster home. As sweet and kind as he is, he is also shy but his foster mom reports he is coming out of his shell more and more every day.
He enjoys being petted, hanging out in his crate when nobody’s home, playing with squeaky toys and the two cats he lives with in his foster home. While he does run them around the house he’s never mean just curious in nature. The way to this baby’s heart is through his stomach and can easily be won over with one of his favorite meals: eggs and chicken breast!
Tiny is house trained, crate trained, and good with other dogs, cats, and children. Even though he is crate trained his foster family reports the crate is optional. Due to his mature personality he is very responsible and trustworthy, and does not destroy anything while home alone. His foster family also states he is good on a leash, doesn’t jump on people or counters and is the all-around perfect pup!
Laid back and familiar, Tiny is an old soul and comforting companion. He currently sleeps on the floor next to his mom’s bed, adapts very well in new environments, and is an allover pretty easy going guy. He doesn’t whine or get in trouble. The only thing that upsets this little cutie is going to the vet. His foster mom suspects it has to do with their slippery floors, but who could blame him.
