Last week, our friends at Carol House Quick Fix Pet Clinic were working with a community member to get all of their pets fixed, and the community member asked them to find a rescue to help take the puppies. Those five little puppies are now a part of the Gateway Pet Guardians family. They’ve been named the “reindeer litter” to celebrate the holiday season: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Donner, and Blitzen.
But last night, the puppies became sick. All five of the puppies broke with parvo and are at the emergency vet receiving treatment. Parvo is a viral disease that can cause life-threatening illness for puppies. They have a long road ahead for recovery, but we know they are in good hands.
We need your help to give these little guys a second chance. Each day one of the puppies are hospitalized, it costs roughly $500. With all five of them sick, we are looking at $2,500 each day to save their lives. Your donation, no matter the amount, will help us save the lives of these five beautiful puppies. All donations made to GPG’s Second Chance Fund will go towards their care, as well as other dogs needing veterinary help.
