Jewel was just rescued May 3,2012. We tried to rescue the puppies at Ridge’s old hang, but they were not falling for it-on that day anyway. So we ended up with Jewel, who looks like Shiloh, and is totally adorable. If you want to foster or adopt Jewel, please fill out applications! We need you!

Knuckles and Pop’s. You have probably heard by now that Knuckles passed away May 2, 2012. Pj found him in the street-he had been hit by a car. We are all very sad about this. Our own Jamie Case was going to foster Knuckles, but we just were not able to pull him yet because did not have the space. Pj does not think he suffered much and at least we know that he was not a victim of dogfighting or another type of torture. RIP Knuckles. We all loved you & we wish that it could have all worked out differently. We actually had concerns the day this video was filmed, as Knuckles was just very still on the sidewalk, and we crept the car up slowly, with much trepidation as we thought that he may not have been alive. It was only a couple of weeks later that the story had a different ending.

And our man, Horton. Father of some of Savvy’s kids…….Pj hadn’t seen him for nearly 2 weeks. We need you fosters! All of us really want to pull this guy asap but we need someplace to take him!! Such a sweetheart and has already spent too much of his precious life on the street.

Ferris….Ferris needs a FOSTER!! This guy is adorable & a bundle of love & kisses. Doesn’t anyone want to foster this guy so Pj can pull someone else!!

And the day we rescued Daiya….Watch how Pj goes underneath the house and pulls her out. Daiya had been cut with a very sharp object. Cut so deeply, that it severed her muscles and she had to have her leg amputated. Watch how Pj and the owner of the home carry sweet Daiya to safety and then watch as we take her to Dr. Ed’s at Hillside Animal Hospital.

RaRa!! RaRa is STILL on the streets!! If anyone has a submissive male dog, Pj thinks RaRa might be the pup for you. She is a real sweetheart. The man of the house lets RaRa stay in his yard, but she isn’t “his” dog. We are thrilled that we were able to provide her with a doghouse, but we still would love to let her retire in an indoor home.

Little Petey. Pj doesn’t see Petey much. But when she does, she dotes on him. And he adores her.

Holding our breath. One day we saw a group of dogs when we were coming from the Washington Park Feedings to the East St. Louis area. They were very close to the road, which was full of zooming rush hour traffic. Pj & I were horrified. She pulled over & we watched and held our breath as one of the pups got “stuck” in the road. A lot of Bleeps. I said a lot of words that I don’t usually say in front of Pj. Bad words. It was stressful and we exhaled after the poor dog finally safely made it. Pj looked for these kids again, but never saw another sign of them.

Fallon & Shiloh have both been rescued, YEAH!! Shiloh is at Pj’s and really needs another foster home. Why? Because he is completely adorable & completely normal & completely full of puppy love. We need to keep her place open for dogs we don’t know about yet. Not for the most adorable puppies that walk perfectly on a leash & let you give them baths. I saw Shiloh on a walk last night and I was a pathetic “ooher” and “aaher”. He will steal your heart. We are looking for a foster and/or a forever home. We are hoping that Shiloh will get adopted pretty quickly, just because he is so darn cute.

More Fallon & Shiloh. Fallon is the mom to Shiloh. And Fallon had puppies at Ms. Julia’s after her rescue. We spay as soon as possible, but sometimes the puppies are “calcified” within the mommy and then it is too dangerous to “spay”. Too dangerous to the life of the mom, so Fallon had her puppies. Both Fallon & all of her kids need homes.

There are two up for grabs.  It’s a 35 page e-book & has information on:

    • heart disease
    • cancer

Love this book because it’s broken down into short chapters about the best veggies & fruits for each “goal”.  The ingredients tend to be on the lower “sugar” side of smoothies and also have a fair amount of information on the “why’s” of the ingredients.  Lots of greens & super nutrients.  So heal your bod while you are “healing” the dogs.  Throw a few things from your garden in the blender, and a few seconds later you will have some of the most nutrient dense food ready for consumption!  No cooking.  No fuss.  No dirty dishes.  Just a high powered blender & a glass.  Oh, glass straws are the “new green bling” and make the whole drinking “green” thing SO much sexier.    No crazy packaged foods.  Just good stuff from the earth!  Enter!!
