Friday’s Foster Dog: Meet Vega, an adoptable dog in St. Louis! While this cute little mama has been through a lot she’s still optimistic about finding her forever home. While living on the streets, Vega gave birth to eight puppies during the middle of one of the coldest stretches imaginable this past winter. The determined mama did her best to protect her babies inside a nearby dilapidated shed but unfortunately it still wasn’t enough. It wasn’t until after three of them passed away that GPG was able to save her and her babies from winter’s grasp.
Now that all her babies have found their forever homes (Beretta, Nova, Bel-Aire, Malibu, and Impala), Vega is looking for her own piece of happiness in a warm, loving home of her own. This beautiful, sweet girl is a cuddly cutie. Affectionate and playful, Vega is known for her world famous kisses and gets excited whenever her foster parents come home after a long day at work. She enjoys being the center of attention and savors the time and love she receives from her foster family.
This medium-sized, Spitz mix has to be one of the smartest girls you’ll ever meet. She’s a quick learner, housetrained, and still getting used to the idea of being in a crate. She walks great on a leash and understands some commands like sit and paw. She’s also spayed, up to date with her shots, and ready for her new home. What more could anyone want from a girl?
Vega is a real sweetheart. She’s great with both kids and dogs but would do best in a home that doesn’t include cats. Even though she is an adult she enjoys running around the backyard and wrestling with the other dogs in her foster home and would enjoy the company of other active canines. She’s a great fit for any family and would make an amazing snuggle buddy as well as companion.
