Adoptable Dog in St. Louis: Meet Calamity!

Adoptable Dog in St. Louis: Meet Calamity!

This Monday we are featuring beautiful Calamity! Calamity is a Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog mix. She is already spayed and is up-to-date with her shots.

Calamity and her litter were rescued as strays from an abandoned house in East St. Louis. GPG was also able to rescue an adult dog who we believe is Calamity’s grown pup. They both have the same beautiful brindle coat and it can be difficult to tell which is mother and daughter sometimes!

This girl is such a gentle and loving dog. Calamity really enjoys playing with other dogs and gets along with other dogs well. She is very playful and her favorite game is fetch. She is also in love humans! Calamity is a little shy when first meeting people, but she warms up to them quickly. She’s great at making new friends! Don’t be surprised if she rolls over and asks for a belly rub, because she LOVES bell rubs. She also loves kisses too!

Calamity is house-trained and is such a good girl that she doesn’t even have to be crated anymore. Her foster mom lets her have the run of the house when she’s gone. Calamity is a fast learner and picked up the sit command perfectly! She walks well on a leash, so she would be perfect on walks. At night she loves to cuddle with her humans.

We adopted Roxy Brindle from Petsmart adoption event in Chesterfield, MO. She was found a few days before giving birth to 7 pups (I don’t know what her pups look like). Then the poor thing sat in the shelter for 4 months waiting for a home. Her birthday is estimated to be late 2014. She’s a very beautiful girl with 99% perfect manners. We had since try to figure out where she comes from. After seeing picture of Calamity and her possible daughter, I think they may be Roxy’s family. Roxy is a very happy dog now and we love her very much. By the way, weighing at a healthy 28 pounds, the petite girl is most likely runt of the litter. She done make us the luckiest dog parents ever! This is her music video: https://youtu.be/rA_MN8tXckE
Thank you GPG for all you do.
